Who writes and reviews content

All content on this site is written and reviewed by Asjad Shaikh, the owner and maintainer of Mini Split Size Calculator. Content is based on publicly available sizing principles, common industry rules of thumb, and transparent assumptions. The maintainer does not hold an HVAC license or engineering degree. Where specific guidance is referenced, the source or assumption is stated on the page.

Content standards

• Use clear, beginner-friendly language without unnecessary HVAC jargon.
• Explain calculator assumptions and limitations on every calculator and sizing page.
• Avoid exact sizing promises, invented credentials, paid-placement rankings, and sales pressure.
• Use cautious language: estimate, approximate, starting point, and may depend on.
• Never present a calculator result as a replacement for a professional Manual J load calculation.
• Do not publish content outside the site's scope: no broad HVAC repair, ductwork, commercial systems, brand comparisons, or pricing claims.

Updates and review cycle

Content is reviewed periodically for accuracy, clarity, and completeness. Pages are updated when sizing guidance, common practice, or explanatory accuracy can be meaningfully improved. The maintainer checks high-traffic pages at least once per quarter. When a page is meaningfully revised, a "Last updated" note is added or refreshed.

Corrections

Factual corrections are made as soon as they are identified. If you find an error or unclear explanation on this site, use the contact page to report it. Corrections to content are taken seriously and addressed promptly.
